# How to forward your Kajabi podcast feed - 301 Redirect

###### Export your Analytics

It’s a good idea to export your analytics from Kajabi at this point. Analytics do not transfer between hosts so it’s good to take a copy now for your own records.

###### How to redirect your feed from Kajabi to Transistor?

Kajabi now offers a feed redirection service that you can setup directly in your Kajabi account. This is their [Redirect Guide](https://help.kajabi.com/hc/en-us/articles/10032979930523-Redirecting-Your-Podcast). These are the steps they recommend completing in Kajabi:

* Open the **Products** in Kajabi.
* Click **Podcasts** and pick the podcast you want to redirect
* Click the **Settings** tab.
* Scroll down to the **Migrate your podcast** section.
* Click the **Configure Migration Settings** toggle **On**.
* Insert your new Transistor Feed URL into the **URL Redirect** field. 
* Double check that you've entered the correct Transistor Feed URL.
* Click **Save** to keep your changes:

You can find your new Transistor RSS feed on the Overview tab of your podcast. 

If you have any issue finding any of those options or settings in Kajabi, you may want to reach out to their support directly and ask if they are able to enable a 301 redirect for you.

You can then use the following email template and add in your own podcast feed details and send it to Kajabi support:

> *I have moved my podcast to Transistor.fm. Are you able to redirect my podcast called (insert podcast name) using (insert old Kajabi RSS feed) to my new host Transistor (insert new Transistor RSS feed). Please let me know if this is possible.*

###### What does a 301 redirect do? 

A 301 redirect for your podcast RSS feed is very useful when you move to a new podcast host. It ensures that any subscriber or podcast platform still using your Kajabi feed won’t be faced with a broken link. Enabling a redirect means that your existing subscribers will stay subscribed and podcast directories can continue to pick up your new episodes. 

A redirect is like leaving a forwarding address. It lets anyone using your old feed know where you have moved to. 

###### How long does a 301 redirect last?

Most podcast platforms provide a permanent redirect for free, even after you have closed your account with them. However some platforms like Kajabi do not offer redirects. 

###### What happens if I don’t forward my old feed from Kajabi?

If your previous podcast host doesn’t offer a forwarding service, you may need to complete a few extra steps. 

Without a redirect, any existing subscribers won’t know where you have moved to. They will need to manually re-subscribe to your new Transistor podcast feed. So be prepared to share your new feed out manually to regain your subscribers back. 

Any podcast directories that are using your old feed won't know where you have moved to. Be sure to update any platform using your old Kajabi feed, so that it has your new Transistor feed.
