# How to transfer ownership of a podcast to a different account

Transistor makes it easy to transfer ownership of a podcast from one Transistor account to another.

This is perfect for hosts on a podcast network who want to take their show independent. Or maybe you're doing a podcast with a friend, and they're going to start paying for the hosting.

Steps for transferring a podcast to another account:

* The new owner will need to create or upgrade to a paid Transistor account
* Go into the Settings for the podcast you want to transfer
* Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page, click the "Transfer Ownership" button
* Enter in the email address of the new owner - the one they use for their paid Transistor account
* They will receive an email and will need to accept the podcast into their account
* Check they have received the podcast into their account before making any further changes to your own account

Repeat these steps for any other podcasts you have to transfer.

The best part about this process is that everything gets transferred:

* The RSS feed URL will remain the same.
* You won't have to change anything on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, or resubmit anything.
* It will bring over all of your historical podcast analytics (you'd lose your stats if you transfer to Anchor).
* You will retain the existing subscribers; they won't need to resubscribe.
* All your team members, episodes, and settings will remain.
