# What does each section of the Analytics tab show?

| This article covers analytics for public podcasts. Private podcasts have a different **Analytics** tab: see [How do I see analytics for my private podcast?](https://support.transistor.fm/en/article/how-do-i-see-analytics-for-my-private-podcast-16jwt0j/)

Your podcast's **Analytics** tab shows how your episodes are performing, measured in downloads. Here's what each section tells you. For what counts as a download, see [What counts as a podcast download?](https://support.transistor.fm/en/article/what-constitutes-a-podcast-download-stream-listen-kv1em2/)

### Average Downloads per Episode

How many downloads a typical episode gets in its first 7, 30, 60 and 90 days after publishing. It's the most useful number for comparing your podcast over time, or sharing with a potential sponsor.

### Estimated Subscribers

Our best estimate of how many people follow your podcast, and how that has changed over time. Podcast apps don't share exact follower counts with podcast hosts, so this is an estimate.

### Listener Trends

Your total downloads across all episodes, day by day or month by month, for the date range you choose. Use it to spot growth and spikes. See [Why is there a spike in my downloads, and how do bots affect my stats?](https://support.transistor.fm/en/article/where-has-the-spike-in-my-analytics-come-from-lwc6wy/)

### Episode Comparison

Each episode's downloads over its first 30 days, so you can compare how quickly different episodes took off.

### Episode Breakdown

Every episode's downloads for the date range you choose. Exported as a CSV, it's the most granular download data we have: downloads for each episode, for each day.

### Podcast Players

Where your audience listens to your episodes, like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, your Transistor website or an embed player, and how that changes over time. See [What does the 'Other' category mean in analytics?](https://support.transistor.fm/en/article/what-does-the-other-category-mean-in-analytics-bs5t15/)

### Devices, and OS and Platforms

The kinds of devices your listeners use, like phones, computers and smart speakers, and their operating systems.

### Global Listener Locations

Where your listeners are, by country, on a map and in a list.

![Countries](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/a/c/a/7/aca7790da3b2f000/image_hvihbc.png)

You can also look inside countries to see which states and provinces people are listening from.

### Video Plays

If you publish video, this shows plays of your video episodes in apps that play video from your feed, like Apple Podcasts, broken down by app.

### Each episode's analytics

To see one episode in detail, go to the **Episodes** tab, click the `...` menu on the right of the episode, and choose **Analytics**. You'll see:

* **Total Downloads**
* **First 7 Days**, **First 14 Days** and **First 30 Days:** downloads in the episode's first week, two weeks and month
* **First 30 Days Performance:** daily and cumulative downloads for the first 30 days, which you can compare against another episode with **Compare with**
* **Episode Listener Trends:** the episode's downloads over the date range you choose
* **Podcast Players:** where the episode was listened to
* **Global Listener Locations:** where its listeners are
* **Video Plays:** plays of the episode's video, if it has one

### Exporting your analytics

Most sections have an **Export** button for downloading the data as a CSV. Choose a date range: **All Time**, **This Year**, **Last Year**, **Past 365 Days**, **Past 90 Days**, **Past 60 Days**, **Past 30 Days**, **Past 14 Days** or **Past 7 Days**, or pick **Custom Date Range** and enter your own start and end dates.
