How do I show my email address in my RSS feed?

You can add your email address to your RSS feed from your podcast's Settings tab. We hide it by default to cut down on spam, so you only need to turn it on when a directory or another host needs to confirm you own the podcast.

Only the Owner or an Admin can show or hide the email address in the feed. For more on access levels, see How do I add team members to my podcast?

How to show your email address

Go to the Settings tab for your podcast
In Owner Email, enter the address you want to show
Check Add this email into your RSS feed
Click Save Changes

You can also do this from Settings › RSS Feed, where the option is called Display owner email in your RSS feed. It only appears there once Owner Email is filled in.

When would I need this?

Usually only when you're:

Submitting your podcast to a podcast directory
Claiming an existing podcast listing
Verifying podcast ownership
Moving between podcast hosts

Once you've been verified, you can hide it again.

Will my RSS feed URL change?

No. Your RSS feed URL stays exactly the same, so you won't see your email address in it.

Instead, we add your email address inside the feed, in the <itunes:email> tag within <itunes:owner>. That's where Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other directories look for it. You'd only see it if you opened your RSS feed and looked at its code:
