How to forward your Patreon podcast feed - 301 Redirect

301 redirect from Patreon

After importing your Patreon RSS feed into Transistor, you may be trying to redirect your old Patreon feed. However Patreon feeds are private and are only shared with Patrons, so there isn't the option to redirect to your new Transistor feed.

Important: If you haven't imported your show yet, you should follow our Import Guide first.

Export your Data

It’s a good idea to export your Patron email addresses and any analytics from Patreon at this point. Analytics do not transfer between hosts so it’s good to take a copy now for your own records.

How to redirect your feed from Patreon to Transistor?

Patreon does not currently redirect their podcasts.

If you are moving to a public podcast on Transistor, you may want to share your new public RSS feed with your previous Patrons.

If you are moving to a private podcast on Transistor, you will need to invite your intended subscribers in the Subscribers page of your private podcast on Transistor. This will issue your listeners with a new private RSS feed for them to use.

Patreon Support Details

You may want to reach out to Patreon support for help with extracting your Patreon email addresses. Here are their support details:

What happens if I don’t forward my old feed from Patreon?

Patreon doesn’t offer a feed redirect service, so you may need to complete a few extra steps.

Without a redirect your previous Patrons won’t know where you have moved to. If you want your previous Patrons to still have access to your new show on Transistor they will need to manually re-subscribe to your new Transistor podcast feed. So be prepared to share your new feed out manually to regain your subscribers back.

If your podcast is on any public podcast directories be sure to update them with your new feed.
