How do I see analytics for my private podcast?

Because every private subscriber has their own RSS feed and landing page, you can see who's listening as well as how much.

Your podcast's analytics

The Analytics tab for a private podcast shows:

  • % activated: the share of your subscribers who have listened to at least one episode
  • Attributed Downloads: downloads we can tie to a specific subscriber
  • Total Downloads: all downloads of your episodes
  • Episode Breakdown: each episode's downloads and the percentage of subscribers who've listened. Click Export as CSV to download it.
  • Episode downloads by day
  • Popular Podcast Players: the apps your subscribers listen with
  • Spotify Open Access and Embed Player: listens from Spotify and from embedded players, shown separately because they can't be tied to individual subscribers

Each subscriber's listening

On the Subscribers tab, click the menu next to a subscriber and choose View subscriber details. You'll see their total downloads, how many episodes they've listened to, when they last downloaded an episode, and their full listening history by episode. It also shows whether they've linked their Spotify account.

The Activated column on the Subscribers tab shows at a glance who has started listening.

Listens that can't be tied to a subscriber

  • Spotify Open Access: Spotify doesn't tell us which subscriber is listening, so these listens only appear in your totals. Subscribers who've linked Spotify still show as linked on their profile.
  • Embed players: anyone who can see the page can play an embedded episode, so those listens aren't linked to a subscriber either.
