How do I share my episodes on social media?

Most listeners find a podcast through a link someone shares. Here's how to share your episodes on social media, and make it easy for your listeners to share them too.

Share a link that anyone can listen from, whatever app they use:

  • The episode's sharing page: a simple page with a player, for example share.transistor.fm/s/e83b42d0. On X, it shows a player right in the post
  • The episode's page on your podcast website

Avoid sharing a link to just one podcast app, since people who use a different app can't listen. See How do I share a podcast episode? to find these links.

Share from your dashboard

Open a published episode in your dashboard, click Share at the top of the page, and choose Share on Bluesky, Share on Threads, Share on Facebook, Share on LinkedIn or Share on X. A new post opens with a link to the episode's sharing page, ready for you to add your own words.

Let your listeners share

  • Embed players have a Share tab with buttons for X, Facebook and LinkedIn, and a link listeners can copy, starting at the point they're listening to
  • Your social accounts show on your podcast website and on your sharing pages. Add them on the Social Media page in your podcast's Settings tab

Post new episodes automatically

Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram

Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram don't play podcast audio inside a post, so you can't embed a player there. Instead:

  • Share your sharing page link. The post shows a preview with your episode's artwork and title
  • Post a short video clip of a highlight from the episode, with a link to the full episode (see below)
  • On Instagram, add your sharing page link to your bio or to a Story

Share video clips

Short video clips are one of the best ways to promote an episode on social media, even for audio-only podcasts. Pick a great moment, turn it into a clip (sometimes called an audiogram), and post it with a link to the full episode.
