How loud should my podcast audio be?

There are differing standards for loudness and spoken-word audio:

• EU: -16 LUFS
• Spotify/Alexa: -14 LUFS
• Audio Engineering Society: -18 LUFS
• Radio: -24 LUFS
• Public Radio: -18 LUFS

At Transistor, we recommend -16 LUFS.
