I just changed my podcast cover art, but it's not updated on Apple Podcasts

Have you replaced your podcast's artwork in "Show Settings," but the new cover doesn't appear in the Apple Podcasts app (or iTunes)?

There are three common causes for this:

It can take a few days for Apple to update new cover art across its iOS app, desktop app, and website.
Did you give the image file a different name? Apple Podcasts caches the image. If you change the filename, it will know to refresh the cache.
Your image size exceeds Apple's maximum of 512KB

If the problem persists, you can log into Apple Podcasts Connect and request they schedule a feed refresh for you. Or you can contact Apple's podcast support team.

Episode Artwork

Beginning with iOS 17, Apple Podcasts supports episode artwork.

In order for episode artwork to display in the app:

The show must contain at least two episodes with episode artwork
The podcast must be a public podcast. Apple does not support episode artwork for private podcasts
The listener's device must be iOS 17 or higher
