How do I find sponsors for my podcast?

Finding sponsors is something you do directly: you reach out to companies that suit your podcast and agree your own rates. Transistor then gives you the tools to run their ads in your episodes.

Finding sponsors

  • Go direct. Reach out to companies that serve your podcast's niche. A smaller show with a focused audience can be valuable to the right sponsor, even without big download numbers.
  • Offer a package. Sponsors often prefer a run of episodes, like three months, over a single ad. You can also combine your podcast ads with mentions in your newsletter or on social media.
  • Share your numbers. Your downloads, listening apps and listener locations in Transistor's analytics help show a sponsor who they'll reach.
  • Try an ad marketplace. Platforms like Gumball and The Podglomerate connect podcasters with advertisers.

You can also check our Vendors page for other services that can help.

Running the ads in your episodes

A sponsor may send you a finished ad, or ask you to read it yourself. Either way, you can record it into your episode, or upload it to Campaigns so it's inserted into your episodes automatically and can be swapped or removed later. Campaigns is included on Professional plans and above.
