How do I add a donation link to my podcast?

If your listeners can support you on Patreon, Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi or another platform, add that link to your podcast once and Transistor will show it to listeners in several places.

  • Go to the Settings tab for your podcast and open Social Media
  • Paste your link into Patreon/Donation. It can be any donation, Patreon or membership page.
  • Click Save Changes

Where your listeners will see it

  • In your show notes: a "★ Support this podcast ★" link is added to the end of every episode's show notes, in podcast apps and everywhere else your show notes appear. If your link is to Patreon, it reads "★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★".
  • In podcast apps that support it: your link is added to your RSS feed as a funding link, which some apps, like Podcast Addict and Fountain, show as a support button.
  • On your podcast website and share pages: a support icon appears alongside your other social links.

The support link goes at the end of your show notes by default. To put it somewhere else, add the {{donate}} placeholder tag where you want it, either in an episode's show notes or in your show notes template.

Mentioning your support link out loud in your episodes, as well as in your show notes, is one of the best ways to get listeners to act on it.

If you use Patreon, you can also connect it to Transistor to thank your supporters by name.
