How do I claim my podcast in Apple Podcasts Connect?
If you submitted your podcast to Apple Podcasts through Transistor, it won't appear in your own Apple Podcasts Connect account. Claiming it moves it there, so you can see Apple's listener stats and use Apple Podcasts Subscriptions. You can use the same steps to move a podcast to a different Apple account.
Get a claim token from Apple
- Sign in to Apple Podcasts Connect, or create an account
- Click Claim Existing Show. If you already have podcasts in your account, you'll find it at the bottom of the page under More Actions.
- Enter your podcast's Apple Podcasts URL. You can copy it from the Distribution tab in Transistor. It looks like
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/learn-to-podcast/id1796281642. - Click Next, copy the claim token Apple shows you, then click Done
Add the claim token in Transistor
- Go to the Distribution tab for your podcast and open the Apple Podcasts settings
- In the Claim section, click Add your Apple Podcasts claim token +
- Paste in the claim token and click Save
The claim token is added to your RSS feed. Apple usually recognizes the claim well within 24 hours, and we'll email you when it has. Your podcast will then appear in your Apple Podcasts Connect account.
