I’ve been uploading audio-only podcasts. I don’t care about past episodes, I just want to start publishing video for new episodes.
Please complete these steps before you start using the new features:
Make sure you go to "Distribution Video" and enable YouTube, Apple, etc before you upload a video episode!
If you want to distribute video to Apple Podcasts, you first need to get their approval.
Once those steps are complete, you can upload video on your next new episode!

What video formats, resolutions, and file sizes are supported?
You can upload an MP4, MOV file, up to 30GB.
You can upload a 4K video to us, and we'll pass it along to YouTube at that resolution.
HLS video for Apple and other apps will have a resolution of 1080p (HD).
Which podcast apps will show my video?
Apple Podcasts (once you're approved), YouTube (via our integration), and any openFew readersI already have a back-catolog of video episodes on YouTube, Now I want to upload video episodes for Apple + HLS
Please complete these steps before you start using the new features:
If you want to distribute video to Apple Podcasts, you first need to get their approval.
Go to "Distribution Video Settings" and disconnect YouTube before you start. This stops Transistor from uploading duplicate videos to YouTube (since your videos are already there).
For each episode, download the video from YouTube (or use your original file from Riverside, Descript, etc.) and upload it to Transistor using "ReplacFew readersI’ve been uploading audio-only podcasts (and haven’t been uploading to YouTube), and I want to upload video for all my old episodes.

If you want to distribute video to Apple Podcasts, you first need to get their approval.
Once those steps are complete, open an existing episode and use "Replace media file" to upload your video. Transistor will pull the audio from your video, encode for HLS, and publish to YouTube.
